Dein Sparplan
Breit gestreute Aktien-ETFs (z.

Gleicher Sparplan, andere Jahresrendite.
How the ETF savings plan calculator works
- Saving rate is paid in at the start of each month. With “increase yearly” it grows by the given percentage every year from year two.
- Return is the effective annual return before costs. The running costs (TER) are deducted every year; the calculator shows how much final value they cost you.
- Taxes are due here when you sell at the end, using German rules: 30 % of the gain on equity ETFs is tax-free (partial exemption), then the saver's allowance is deducted. The rest is taxed with 25 % flat-rate tax plus 5.5 % solidarity surcharge (26.375 % in total), about 27.8–28 % with church tax.
- Purchasing power discounts the final value to today's euros with the given inflation.
Example: €200 a month
| Duration | Paid in | Final value at 7 % |
|---|---|---|
| 10 years | €24,000 | €34,021 |
| 20 years | €48,000 | €99,618 |
| 25 years | €60,000 | €152,571 |
| 30 years | €72,000 | €226,100 |
| 40 years | €96,000 | €469,978 |
With 0.2 % TER, before tax. After a little over 20 years the returns overtake your own deposits – that's compound interest.
Was bedeutet „Sparrate jährlich erhöhen“ (Dynamik)?
Viele erhöhen ihre Sparrate mit dem Gehalt. Mit 2 % Dynamik wird aus 200 € im zweiten Jahr 204 €, nach 25 Jahren gut 320 €. So hältst du die Sparquote trotz Inflation stabil.
FAQ
How much does a €200 monthly ETF savings plan make?
At 7 % a year and 0.2 % costs, €200 a month grows to about €152,600 after 25 years – you paid in €60,000. After German capital gains tax (equity ETF, €1,000 allowance) about €135,700 remain, roughly €93,000 in today's money at 2 % inflation.
What return is realistic?
Broad world equity ETFs returned about 6–8 % a year over decades, before inflation. Single years can be down 30–40 %, and the future may be worse. Use the “what if” table to check more cautious values. Bond ETFs return much less.
How are ETF gains taxed in Germany?
Gains are capital income: 25 % flat-rate tax plus solidarity surcharge and church tax if applicable. For equity ETFs 30 % of the gain is tax-free (partial exemption), 15 % for mixed funds. €1,000 a year (€2,000 for couples) stay tax-free. The tax is essentially due when you sell.
How much do costs matter?
More than you'd think. In the €200 / 25 years example, 0.2 % TER costs about €4,900 of final value, 1.5 % (typical for actively managed funds) about €33,000. The calculator shows the amount under “costs”.
